Product description

Blackfriar Exterior Wood Protector is a formidable shield against the effects of weathering on both vertical and horizontal exterior wood surfaces. Its versatility extends to both rough sawn and smooth timber, and it boasts a solvent-based, minimal build formula. This unique formulation not only provides crucial UV protection but also imparts water-repellency, ensuring the durability of exterior wood over the long term.

This protector goes beyond weather resistance by offering defence against fungal and algal degradation. Its inclusion of a UV filter adds an extra layer of protection against sunlight, making it ideal for outdoor use. Blackfriar Exterior Wood Protector is engineered to withstand extreme temperatures, providing reliable safeguarding against the harshest elements. Remarkably, it offers protection for up to 3 years, making it a valuable investment for the preservation of exterior wood. For optimal results, it typically dries within 6 hours under favourable drying conditions.

It's important to note that Blackfriar® Exterior Wood Protector Gold Star, particularly for coloured finishes, extends the protection period up to three years on vertical timber in most climates and up to 18 months on horizontal timber. Regular inspections of the clear finish are recommended, with a maintenance coat applied at the first sign of timber degradation or at least annually to ensure continued protection and longevity.
